Real food doesn't need a long shelf life
The reason most snack bars can sit at room temperature for months is simple: preservatives, stabilizers, and shelf-stable fillers. We don't use any of those. A COZY bar is just organic dates, oats, coconut, grass-fed butter, and real flavor, with nothing engineered to fake freshness. When you make food from actual ingredients, the fridge is what keeps it at its best.
What the cold actually does
Refrigeration slows down the natural processes that affect fresh, butter-based foods. Keeping our bars cold preserves their soft, chewy texture and keeps the grass-fed butter tasting clean and fresh, with no seed oils standing in for stability and no preservatives extending the date on a label. It's the same reason you refrigerate real butter and not margarine.
Chilled, frozen, or on the go
Our favorite way to enjoy a COZY bar is straight from the fridge, but they're just as good from the freezer for a firmer, almost ice-cream-bar bite. Heading out?
